Nikuze Josephine, a beneficiary of Eden’s Child and mother to sponsored child Niyomugabo Daniel, resides in Mukindo Sector shared her remarkable journey out of poverty. It began with a 500,000 FRW ($342) loan from SACCO Umucyo micro finance, which she used to establish a food business selling beans, rice, sorghum, and other staples. Through dedication, discipline, and wise financial management, she earns a consistent profit of approximately 300,000 FRW ($205) each harvest season. With a clear vision for growth, Josephine plans to expand her operations by supplying markets in other provinces and opening a shop capable of storing up to three tons of food.
Josephine’s story stands out as a powerful and inspiring testimony for many mothers within Eden’s Child. Her progress demonstrates how access to opportunity, combined with determination and hard work, can lead to meaningful transformation. She continues to share her journey to motivate and encourage other mothers to pursue self-reliance, embrace savings, and to take bold steps.
